Week 38

Can I start out by saying how much I love you all?! I've felt so much support and comfort from everyone throughout this week. I'm beyond blessed to have the family and friends that I do. Thank you for being my angels out here.

This week was infinitely better! Still challenging with my health but much easier to endure. We saw many miracles and I found so much joy!

One of my favorite experiences was meeting Ilyana and her family! They're a nice Muslim family and very strong in their faith, but they invited us in when we knocked on their door! We talked for a while about the basic principles of both of our religions, and I felt the spirit so strongly. We went back a few days later and Ilyana wanted a Book of Mormon to start reading! She's coming to church on Sunday and we're excited to keep teaching her!

We're still teaching Aubrey who is 14 and needs a miracle to be baptized. Her family dynamic is really challenging and her parents are against the church. She's only been going to church with her friends for two months and has one of the strongest testimonies I've ever come across. We had a group fasting for her yesterday, and saw miracle number one!! Her parents agreed to come to church next fast and testimony meeting which is huge! Keep her in your prayers!

We went to the temple as a zone this morning and I cannot explain how needed it was. The temple is powerful and I always feel so close to heaven when we go. Many prayers were answered and again, I realized how very real it is that Jesus Christ is walking with us. If you haven't been through the temple yet, prepare to go as soon as you can. There is nothing as grounding and fulfilling than being in His house. President Nelson said, "Once we make a covenant with God, we leave neutral ground forever. God will not abandon His relationship with those who have forged such a bond with Him. In fact, all those who have made a covenant with God have access to a special kind of love and mercy. In the Hebrew language, that covenantal love is called hesed (חֶסֶד)." I've felt this love and can promise you can and will feel the same.

I was sure to tell my mission President right when I found out Farmington swept and he was very proud. You guys are my idols and I love you. Nixelle Nation FOR REAL thanks for being my favorite topic of conversation.
