Week 31
Happy birthday to my brother Johnny! He's feeling 22. He probably doesn't read these emails so someone tell him for me.
We had an awesome week! The hightlight would have to be our lesson with Vicki and Greg. In case you've forgotten, their daughter Bailey was baptized in March when she was a senior. She's at BYU but just came home for Christmas break. Her parents have been coming to church for probably two years now but haven't been baptized. Anways Bailey signed up to have us over for dinner lol and it was SO FUN! I love their family. We chatted it up then had a lesson on the restoration. We found out they've never read the Book of Mormon so that was our invite! I don't know why but the vibes were just so good. We talked all about BYU, her classes, (she's also a dancer), then had the most spirit filled lesson. It's also exciting because we've been trying to teach Vicki and Greg since I got here 3 months ago and we're finally gaining momentum! I have so much love for that family! This is why missionary work is awesome!
You guys, Sister Brown always makes me laugh when I pray in big groups. Both times have been on important leadership calls, and both times I've been mortified. The first time I was trying so hard to keep it together I swear but I burst out laughing when closing the prayer. If I die while I'm here, it'll be from embarrassment because I can't control myself.
This past transfer, we've memorized The Living Christ as a mission in preparation for our Christmas zone conference. The last line says, "God be thanked for the matchless gift of His divine Son." The greatest gift we can give and recieve this Christmas season is Jesus Christ! There are so many ways to share His light, but we also have to remember to recieve His light into our lives. My invitation is to lean on the Savior more fully in your life. "He is the light, the life, and the hope of the world. His way is the path that leads to happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come."
