Week 30

Hiiiiiiii everyone. We had an awesome week! So many Christmas adventures. Every night was something new so let’s get right into it.

Wards in San Clemente are so fun! If I were to live somewhere in my mission, I would choose San Clemente because of how awesome the members are. Our area covers a ward there, so on Tuesday we had the cutest Christmas party with all the moms!! They went so all out with the decorations and cute outfits you'd think they were drill moms.

Wednesday was a Christmas pj party for the Capo relief society! We also helped our friend Julie wrap Christmas gifts earlier in the day. She had so many questions about what we do as missionaries. She almost fell over when we said we couldn't watch movies or hang out with friends. She definitely thinks we're a cult now.

There was a tree lighting event in Aliso Viejo that we helped out with for a few hours on Thursday! We ran a booth for writing letters to Santa and got to talk with lots of people!

Friday night was the annual chalk walk! Seriously so awesome. We greeted everyone as they came in and had our friend Will come! On Sunday the chalk walk was a drive through, so we went to help with it that night and talked to everyone in their cars as they came in.

This week was still a bit challenging like last week. There were some good days and some harder days but I'm so grateful for my Savior who is right there with us. Something a missionary said in his departing testimony was that we are being trained for life in the California Newport Beach mission and that's so true. I'm infinitely grateful for everything I'm learning here.

My dad sent me this quote today that really resonated with me: "You can lose yourself one small compromise at a time. You can transform yourself one small win at a time." What we do matters! Every good decision we make can and will transform us to become more like Jesus Christ. Don't let small compromises come in the way of your divine potential! We're stronger than we think if we humble ourselves and lean on Him.

Today's been fun! We played pickleball with our zone and President. My skills are... below average. I should just stick with singing ;) Then one of the Sisters cut my hair a few inches and it feels so good. We also had our district activity and played Bonanza! The best bean game ever. I love you all so much!!
