Week 21

Hi everyone! Was anyone else crying while the missionaries were singing in conference because SAME. That was so powerful. Conference was amazing. Sister Miller and I messed up because we told everyone all week that conference was at 10, 2, and 6 which is true if you're in Utah but unfortunately not here. We were scrambling late Friday night to try to right our wrong and it ended up working out yay!

I don't have very much time to write today because we did flexible finding time and had lots of activites but our friends are doing awesome. We watched conference with Dan, Delia, and Annie and they seemed to love it.

Jan cut her leg open on some glass this week and it's not looking good. She had 32 staples put in but has been walking on it a ton so of course it came open. We went over one day and it's sooo bad. Majorly infected and inflamed. She was chatting like usual and we were like uhh Jan you need to go to the hospital. She eventually got there.

Cricket had been somewhat responsive this week but she calls us back at 10:30 on Sunday and was like "Hey sisters I'm at the church! Why is no one here?" Tragic. I promise we told her about conference many times but it must've not clicked.

We were supposed to have Luisa's baptism interview on Friday but she got food poisoning! We had an awesome lesson on Tuesday about tithing though and she's going strong.

We made some friends- Nora and Fransisco- who are awesome! We've had two lessons with them and are planning on many more!

Ok I have to run but I started reading Saints and WOW I love it so much. I don't know how I've never read it before. My testimony of Jospeh Smith has grown exponentially in the past few days. I know that he was the prophet called by God to restore the church of Jesus Christ to the earth today!!

Week 11

Surprise it's Wednesday. Our pday was switched because we got to go to the temple today!! I miss being able to go to the temple whenever. We're assigned a day every other transfer. This week was one of my favorites so far. The hard parts made it even better which I'll talk more about later. I went on an exchange with Sister Thomas (the new Sister in our zone) and it was awesome! Two little missionaries hanging out all day. She goes home the same transfer as me because I'm assigned 13 so we're in this thing together. We had zone conference and San Clemente had interviews with President/Sister Carter, so I got to see them a lot! Have I mentioned they're the greatest? Wow okay Sunday!! This sounds dramatic but it could've been my favorite day on the mission so far. We had a lesson with a marine named Wetterman on Saturday (which he brought his friend Williamson to) and they both showed up to church the next day! Week 19

Hiiii everyone! I love my mission. Update on Cricket is that she's been quite unresponsive what?! Homecoming was this past week and let me tell you the high schools here go ALL OUT for everything- especially dances. So she was really living up the homecoming week, attended a few youth activites (which we didn't know about until after the fact), and therefore did not meet with us. She still wants to get baptized on the 28th which is the funny thing. We were like okay Cricket, in order for you to be prepared for your baptism we need to have at least 5 more lessons because we have so much to teach still. She got the memo but then didn't get the memo and we didn't have a single lesson. In conclusion, baptism is happening but probably getting pushed back which is still a win. Luisa is my favorite. I love her so much. She loves the gospel of Jesus Christ! She's been an amazing example to me of being eager to learn more. We send her lots of chapters/general conference talk...
